A few weeks ago, we ran an article about Ed Banger pair, Justice, and the songs that they’ve sampled in their studio releases. Looking back on it, it only makes sense to feature the French house duo that helped start it all – Daft Punk.
While Justice quite impressively sampled musical greats, like The Brothers Johnson, Donna Summer and Devo, Daft Punk started doing just that in the early 90s – when french house was just gaining its footing. Below, you’ll find a list of artists and songs that the famous, robotic group refashioned into digital masterpieces. While this list doesn’t include every sample (though, it does include speculated samples and other pieces of work they may have been inspired by), we hope this will give you a better idea of the Frenchmen’s sampling work:
