New: Chromeo – Juice

How long has it been since disco-funk duo, Chromeo, last released original material? Roughly, three years to be exact. But today, you’re in luck because the self-described “funk lordz” are back with new single, Juice.

Right from the beginning, the Canadian act dazzles with sensual lyrics and calming synths. “Relationships ain’t a democracy. I’m good if you just stay on top of me,” sings Chromeo. “It ain’t no mystery who’s in control. You’re sittin’ pretty, I’m replaceable,” they continue. But, we have a feeling that listeners aren’t ready for the funk frenzy that’s about to ensue.

With serene synth melodies, soul-pop energy and surging leads, the Montreal-based musicians deliver a beautiful rinse of disco-charged sound. It’s as if the dance-driven vibes of their White Women LP never disappeared. Regardless, welcome back, Chromeo – we’ve missed you.
