Unveiled to the public just a few days ago, Yuksek’s Dancing Disco edit has only recently caught our attention. The 6-minute revamp of France Gall’s platinum release is nonetheless magical, introducing a new spin on a timeless track.
With smooth kits, funk injections and playful energy, Yuksek seamlessly builds a contemporary framework around the 70s single. Tune in below to see what the Parisian producer had to say about his edit:
“I produced this edit some time ago to finish my DJ sets,” says Yuksek. “I finally decided to post it this morning like a goodbye to someone from the family, someone we have always known and loved. Original song released in April 1977, written by Michel Berger, recorded at Studio Gang and mixed by Jean-Pierre Janiaud.”
