If you haven’t heard of Thundercat, then you’ve obviously been hiding under a rock for the past 5 years or so. The American bassist sure knows how to create a superb piece of music. Take his most famous track, Them Changes, for example.
He’s even featured on the likes of Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp A Butterfly, an album that would go on to absolutely dominate the 2016 Grammys.
He has returned to his rightful home though, with a new track under the name Bus In These Streets, which is a lot more ‘ethereal’ and ‘floaty’ than we’d ever expect! In fact, even though we associate Thundercat with the odd heart-breaking tune or two, we love how positive this track sounds.
Slightly off-topic now, but the esteemed disco and funk producer, George Clinton, is due to drop an album on Flying Lotus’ prestiged label. We are stoked to see what him and Parliament Funkadelic come with and will update you as soon as we get more information.
