It was 2015. Neo-psychedelic concept, Neon Indian, had just announced a new album, leading with singles, Annie, Slumlord, and The Glitzy Hive. Little did we know, the Vega Intl. Night School LP would feature contemporary dream disco hit, Dear Skorpio Magazine.
What frontman Alan Palomo does in this track is undeniably extraordinary. Think flashy synths, electrifying guitars, and hypnotizing noises – it’s almost as if the band’s brainchild rekindled all of the 80s spirit in no more than four minutes.
Really, the intermingling of Palomo’s vocals and glo-fi synthwork is impressive. Don’t believe us? Just see for yourself.
