It’s rare to see three phenomenal, disco-funk acts collaborate in this day and age, with most artists producing and releasing solo material. Even seeing two groups partner up can be a stretch. Luckily, French Horn Rebellion, That’s Nice, and Patterns decided to break the mold with new track, Magic. And, to be honest, it’s exactly what we’ve been waiting for.
Disco-house and nu disco fans won’t be able to resist the summery sensations that the latter DJ/producer outfits deliver. In short, the single smoothly fuses finger bass lines and tropical disco percussion with vocoded vocals and delicate piano melodies. The three-minute release is simply relaxed, yet remains completely appealing, taking listeners on a magical journey into sound.
See what That’s Nice had to say about the newfangled jam:
“In September the trees were golden brown, and the leaves were falling down around us,” says That’s Nice. “We found the Magic.” Is this the inspiration behind the collaboration? Possibly. While you wonder, stream Magic and download the funky single here.
