Yes, you read it right – French robotic duo, Daft Punk, performed at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony, alongside Canadian singer-songwriter, The Weeknd. And while it’s been roughly three years since we last saw the talented act perform live, it was nothing less than impressive.
Update: All Daft Punk/The Weeknd videos from the 2017 Grammys have been removed from Youtube, due to requests from CBS.
To start off the week and create hype for the yearly event, the group launched a pop-up store at Maxfield Gallery in Los Angeles. There, viewers could take a trip back in time and view Daft Punk’s archives. Check out a preview below:
Though the pop-up was especially significant, Daft Punk has been quite active this past year, releasing two singles with The Weeknd, a ton of new merchandise, Snapchat filters, and more.
Is this a signal? Is Alive 2017 really going to happen? Only time will well. In the meantime, check out some of the best remixes of Daft Punk tracks here.
