With a cool, calm, and collected approach, the Sao Paulo native reworks resampled sound bits into a lovely, upbeat jam – Don’t Let Me Down. Think Midnight Club, UniBeat, or Ken – lots of 70s and 80s inspiration in this one.
While Beerlover’s latest certainly takes a different direction from his last release, the track demonstrates his versatile skill-set in production. French house, future funk, and disco house aside, the Brazilian is downright fantastic at what he does.
Anyhow, Don’t Let Me Down is a delightful, filter house anthem, filled with disco accents, smooth synths, and compressed kits. There’s nothing better than a bit of contemporary funk to soothe the soul.
