5 of The Best Remixes of M83

To celebrate the release of their new album, Junk, we’ve decided to compile a list of some of the best M83 remixes out there. So hold onto your hats, it’s gonna get wild. Also make sure to check out Junk if you can, it’s definitely worth a listen!

Reunion (Mylo Remix)

We start off with this article with Scottish-born musician, Mylo and his somewhat ‘funky’ rendition of Reunion. This remix would be featured alongside other remixes by the likes of Sei A and The Naked and the Famous on a remixes 12″ sold on Record Store Day 2012. You can grab it here.

Midnight City (Big Black Delta Remix)

Being M83, you’d expect some of the music to be pretty ‘brash’ and experimental. Big Black Delta, the solo project of Californian-based, Jonathan Bates, recreates this experimental feel that all know and love with M83. M83 and BBD would then feature alongside each other again, on Daft Punk’s TRON Legacy: Reconfigured compilation.

Graveyard Girl (Yuksek Remix)

Even Partyfine’s Yuksek, has featured on a M83 remix. This time on Graveyard Girl, featured on M83’s fifth studio album, Saturdays = Youth. It’s very French electronic-y, something you’d come to expect, with releases like the aptly named Partyfinein which he collaborated with fellow artist Juveniles and many more tracks fitting that persona.

Kim & Jessie (DATA Remix)

Ahhhh. Nothing like a remix from French electronic musician, datA, to spice things up a little bit. Not much needs to be said here to be honest, if you liked his previous works, then you’ll definitely love this.

Steve Mcqueen (Freak You Remix)

We finish with FREAK YOU and his interesting old-school remix of Steve McQueen. There’s something that keeps us coming back to this one, over and over again, maybe you can tell why?

What’s your favourite remix?
