We’re not exactly sure how, but France has birthed some of the most brilliant musicians over the last half-century. In our books, there’s Daft Punk, Bob Sinclair, Justice, Laurent Garnier, Étienne de Crécy, and Pedro Winter, just to name a few. As we progress into the millennium, a number of new producers continue to move into the limelight and garner recognition, and Paris native, VicTorY, is well on his way to doing so too.
Roughly one month ago, the electronic musician released quite an impressive single, WEAK, which features an array of vintage noises, robust bass lines, smashed-to-bits drums, and captivating melodies. Though the track reveals some old school flavor, it certainly holds its own, bridging the gap between the past and present eras of music.
