Who Is Bromance Records?
Founded in November 2011 by Louis Brodinski, Bromance is a French electronic label bridging the gap between heavy electro tempos and tame beats. It wouldn’t surprise you though when you’ve found out that artists like Gesaffelstein and LOUISAHHH!!! reside on the label, providing some of electronic musics finest pieces over the past couple of years. Bromance definitely know how to run a joint.
Notable Releases
We start with Bromance’s first release, Bromance #1, featuring labelhead, Brodinski, and Gesaffelstein, who both lay down some wicked tunes. Gesaffelstein’s track Control Movement, is a hard-hitting French Techno track, immortalised by the man himself as he played it live, time and time again. Let The Beat Control Your Body on the other hand though features twisted vocals from future labelmate, LOUISAHHH!!!, as well as some of Brodinski’s trademark “sophisticated” beats.
Fast forward four releases and we have Gesaffelstein’s first release on the label, again, another two-track EP, but bustling with heavy techno tracks that are to die for. Depravity, reminds us of the golden techno era – retro synths and drum machines clashing against each other. Gesaffelstein’s Belgium however is one of those tracks that when on the spot, we can immediately associate the French Techno maestro with.
Panteros666 is one of our favourite musicians from the Club cheval collective and his single Baby F-16 is a cut above the rest of his tracks, being a bouncy house track which compliments the rest of his music that’s on the label.
Finally we have Homieland Vol.1, a compilation album full of Bromance Records latest and greatest, as well as some special guests including people like Para One and Jon Convex. Highlights include LA-based duo, Pipes, laying down Punish It, a hard-hitting techno track that leaves a long-lasting impression on the listener, whilst Suicideyear’s Don’t Worry is a blissfully chilled out track, with 808’s keeping the track on its edge.
