The music alone takes you back to a 1990s’ Parisian venue packed to the rim with ravers. It’s perfectly suited to zone out to, loop for hours on end without the crowd showing signs of wear and tear, like most music under this particular genre.
When a preview of the EP was first shown to me, I found the monotony of the 30-second clip obnoxious. Having listened to it the whole way through , I realized that I underestimated its potential. In “Wilde Thangs”, the anticipatory “drop” made it all the more pleasurable. “Misled” is a nice fusion of samples from eclectic sources, with the anticipatory effect still intact. All tracks stay true to that element, which is a tried and true crowd-pleaser. Can’t wait to hear more from this promising producer!
