We’ve been following Dutch pair, Keljet, for quite some time as they’ve wowed us with some incredible nu disco and indie dance work. Their most recent track, a remix of Leland’s Full Time, sees the two musicians blend pianos, orchestral elements, and 90s house grooves in an elegant, disco rinse. After the release, we got in touch with the Nijmegen natives to see which artists they’ve been tuning into recently, and their picks were top notch.
Below, the disco duo chooses five producers who are up and coming in the electronic music scene. Check it out:
Tobtok
He already had a really good 2015 with some huge remixes (for The Magician, Jael, John Newman, etc) and some killer originals, but we expect 2016 is gonna be even bigger for him! This week, he is coming over to our party, Fever, in our hometown Nijmegen, and we can’t wait to catch his dj-set!
PREP
Not much is known about these guys, but we really like their productions. They did an awesome remix of Snakehips and their first original, Cheap Flight, was really cool too! We can’t wait to hear more from these guys in the coming months.
Klyne
We had the chance to play next to these guys at Eurosonic Noorderslag last Saturday (that’s one Europe’s biggest show case festivals). Besides being really cool guys, their music is really good as well! Dope productions combined with great vocals. You should definitely keep an eye out for these guys as we expect them to do big things this year.
Lenno
Obviously, Lenno has been putting out cool music for a while already, but we want to highlight him still. He often does Facebook posts of little videos of things he’s working on and they always sound so dope. So, he should be putting out some wicked tunes this year! We know we can’t wait to hear them!
OIJ
Another guy we played next to last Saturday. His sound is really big and he does the singing himself too. You should definitely check out his song, Blinded!
