Listen to disco demons, Oliver? Then, you’re certainly in for a treat. Norwegian newcomer, Chauffeur, just unveiled a stellar edit of unreleased track, Kiss & Tell, and it’s one heck of a single.
Initially revealed in Oliver’s Snow Tape Mix roughly one year ago, the original blends the group’s traditional rhythms and disco accents in a magical way. And, to be fair, the edit is ultimately an extended version of what you hear in the duo’s mix, with an introduction of filters, re-cut melodies and more.
Some listeners were pretty excited to hear the track, commenting “beauty” and “iz very good,” while others said “ripping unreleased stuff and putting it out as an edit isn’t cool.” Is this a point of contention, or should producers continue to pursue this type of creativity? Either way, the edit is a good release.
