Have you ever heard of Tom Sawyer? If your first thought was Mark Twain’s fictional character, think again. DJ/producer, Tom Sawyer, is a tech house aficionado who just released a powerful, two-track EP, It’s You / Get Busy, via New York City record label, Nurvous Records.
It’s You, the lead single on the EP, isn’t one of those super structured, tech house tracks. It maintains a certain level of authenticity in its sound design, introducing a wave of modular synths and sinister atmospheres. While tech house genuinely isn’t one of our favorite genres, we can say, without a doubt, that Tom Sawyer’s work is quite impressive.
