In 2014, Canadian disco duo, Chromeo, released Jealous as part of their eclectic White Women LP. Partnering with Indaba, the talented funk gods also unveiled the Jealous stems to the public, hosting a well-received remix competition. Hundreds of producers joined the contest, though it was American producer, Attom, who ultimately took home the grand prize.
Fast forward two years – synthwave act, SUPERDRIIIV, has gotten a hold of those very same stems, laying down a funky remix of their own. Creating retro-futuristic vibes and synth-pop energy, the group inject the dance track with vibrant leads, vintage noises, and smashing percussive elements.
