Self-defined as a mix of “death metal, surf, and club,” Paris is one of Ekler’o’shock Records’s prime talents, with several first-rate releases out via the French label. Today, we revisit the band’s indie-dance hit, In Crowded Subways, which was released to the public in late 2010.
Fusing post-punk rock with neon synths and electro-clash catalysts, the group guides the audience on an obscure, psychedelic spiral of noise, filled with sprawling leads, distorted lasers, fuzzy guitars, and much more. Like Fischerspooner, MSTRKRFT, or Does It Offend You, Yeah? If so, tune in below – you won’t be disappointed.
