For quite some time, Brooklyn resident, Bit Funk, has had a knack for revamping singles into feel-good, nu disco jams. Just listen to his remixes of Seven Lions’s Worlds Apart, Golf Clap’s Future, or Nameless’s 7 Days in the Sun – each one firmly holds its own, enticing listeners with radiant synths, rich bass lines, and much more.
Today, we take a look at the musician’s heartwarming remix of The Pharcyde’s iconic tune, Runnin’. Packed with rhodes pianos, muted guitars, and a wicked drum track, Bit Funk’s remix breathes new life into the 1995 release.

This reminds me a lot of RAC in that it isn’t significantly different from the original, not heavily chopped or screwed for example, but adds some nice synthy elements to a familiar jam.
