In 2010, French electronic band, Jamaica, released an eleven-track LP, titled No Problem. This past January, we covered one of the hit singles on the album, Cross The Fader, but today, we take a look at By The Numbers, a dance-charged track with indie dance sounds and french disco vibes.
What’s really cool about this release is the crispness in both sound and style. Perhaps, that can be attributed to some of the behind-the-scenes work from Justice’s Xavier de Rosnay, who featured on Jamaica’s LP several times.
To be frank, we haven’t heard anything close to this sound, since Phoenix’s early album, Wolfgang Amadeus. In other words, if you’re into rock-infused dance music, then look no further.
