Mount Dreams is the combination of French and Belgian artists, LUUUL and Petit Biscuit, both producing similar style music, so they’d be perfect for a collaboration! Right?
First things first, we need an introduction. Intro does that job very well indeed, slowing fading in and dazzling us with its chilled-out percussions and synths. Open Your Eyes. What do you see?
This track is full on with that lead guitar, powering it all the way through until the bitter end, before calming us all with Night Dive, the first track to include musical duo, Anatomy, with some of the most pristine vocals I’ve heard all year.
Wolf is nothing like it says on the packet. Instead, it’s a dreamy indie pop track bursting at the seams to come alive, and it definitely hits the spot! The next track is split into two parts, the first part of We Were Just Kids, being a tremendous buildup of what’s to come, before swiftly cutting into the second part of the gentle electronic track.
We covered Home not long ago on our blogosphere! Describing it as “full of spacious vocals and acoustic arrangements – making out for one chilled out track!” and surely enough its just that, it’s definitely one of our favorite tracks on the album. Lastly, the Belgian/French duo wave us Goodbye, an ambient track that starts as fast as it ends.
We’re kind of sad to see them go…
