Turbo Recordings have always been one of those labels to defy all odds, and create something that other labels wouldn’t dare to do. This is the case with British producer, Kane West, and his Expenses Paid EP, bustling with 4 rowdy techno tracks.
The title track, Expenses Paid, is your commonplace techno track, with deep and riveting beats which ploddle along at its own ‘serious’ pace. This steps up a notch with Mexicans, a track which divulges into a new soundscape – perfectly rounding off the first half of the EP.
Things get wacky though with Recycle Bin, a track that appears to be an homage to the French electronic god himself, Mr. Oizo, bursting with basslines as far as the eye can see. When you’re just about done with the EP, Don’t Stop spirals you out of control, leaving you wanting more of the sick and profound beats.
