2017 has been a great year for Swedish disco whiz, Blende. Thus far, we’ve seen the electronic music maestro impress with shimmering single, Back To Summertime, and a high profile remix of Goose’s Call Me. Today, however, we take a look at his latest piece of work – Roses (Blende Remix).
Released via recording label, Pour Le Monde, Blende’s rendition of Roses carries some steam from the original alt-rock anthem, though selectively shifting to lighter, nu disco energy. That being said, the Swede’s remix does bare slight resemblance to The Penelopes’s uncut single, primarily resampling the London-based band’s vocals and crisp bass lines.
Without a doubt, Roses (Blende Remix) is criminally good – it packs the right punch for summertime, mixing elegant house vibes with creamy synth work.
