In 2006, a man by the name of Mehdi Favéris-Essadi, also known as DJ Mehdi, released his sophomore album, Lucky Boy. Bridging the gaps between hip hop, indie dance, and electro, the Parisian act won the respect of fans all around the world, leading the way with I Am Somebody.

Although DJ Mehdi is no longer with us, his music continues to live on, inspiring many of today’s electronic music artists. As a matter of fact, one producer, Terrorball, took to the studio and reimagined Mehdi’s Signatune just last year.

Today, however, we set our sights on another rework of that very same classic. But this time, we see musical maestro, Murtagh, steal the show. You’ve already heard his epic collaborations with Spiel and Veschell, so now it’s time to give your attention to Signatune (Murtagh Remix).

To be frank, it’s exactly what we envisioned of hearing from the multi-genre talent – robust drum sections, animated leads, micro-sampled bits, and let’s not forget DJ Mehdi’s iconic sound. What more could you ask for?
