Did Daft Punk Announce 2017 Tour?

In case you missed it, international music magazine, Mixmag, announced the return of Daft Punk just yesterday, citing a “full 25-date live tour” from the Frenchmen. However, that’s not the case.

In true April Fools spirit, the worldwide publication tricked viewers into believing that the robotic act were set to launch a supposed R△CK R▽LL tour, roughly one decade after the Alive 2007 stint. They even cited quotes from the electronic music duo, along with country and city specific tour dates, making the announcement seem much more authentic.

What’s worse is that the news came shortly after rumors of Daft Punk potentially replacing Beyoncé at Coachella, so the tour announcement was somewhat believable. Unfortunately, all we can do is kick back and hope that Thomas Bangalter and Guy Manuel de Homem-Christo soon send us signs to mark their epic return.

While we all wait, tune into our Daft Punk:Remixed playlist and enjoy top-notch remixes of Daft Punk singles.
