Mr. Oizo And Skrillex Form An Unlikely Alliance, Release “End Of The World”

It seems Mr. Oizo loves to collaborate with the most peculiar of artists when producing music. First you had his intricate cooperation with Boys Noize under the moniker, Handbraekes, which rattled up two of the most ferocious EPs that we had heard for quite a long time. Now Quentin Dupieux takes to the field with OWSLA’s very own, Skrillex.

The first single of supposedly many to be released from Oizo’s next album, All Wet, has a big impact on us, as the listeners. Firstly, the breaks. We love them. In fact, we can’t get enough of them. Secondly? We can tell where both Oizo and Skrillex have both made an impact in the track itself. It’s quite extraordinary that Skrillex has produced something very different to what we’ve seen before.

What may this bring for the future of Ed Banger collaborations then? Well, we’ve recently seen just today that Frank Ocean and SebastiAn had both worked together on Frank’s latest album. We kind of want to see Justice work with Kanye West, or even Drake as a matter of fact. That would be interesting to see.
