Springtime Selection: 2016

Spring is officially in full swing. The sun is shining, weather is warming up, and festival season is right around the corner. What else could you want?

Well, if you are anything like us at The French Shuffle, you may be thinking about refreshing your music collection as the rays come out and springtime fun kicks in. Fortunately, we already did that for you.

Ranging from Blende, Neon Indian, and Roisto to Midnight To Monaco, Cleopold, and Klyne, we have compiled a list of feel-good tracks, just perfect for one of the most beautiful seasons of the year – spring. Introducing The French Shuffle’s inaugural Springtime Selection:

Very intimate vibes coming from Dutch duo, Klyne, in elegant single, Closer.

Bright guitars. Funky bass lines. Lush vocals. Boulevards.

Bag Raiders have been at the top of their game lately. Tune into their magisterial tune, Magic Feel, below.

Take a step back and revel in the brilliant sounds of Surrender.

Let’s not forget Swedish DJ/producer, Skogsrå, and his lovely release, Out Of Time.

Slow it down a notch with Du Tonc’s We Can Hold On, which is filled to the brim with downtempo rhythms and smooth synths.

Midnight To Monaco’s debut track, Suicide, was remarkable. Here’s the second release from the Future Classic duo.

Neon Indian takes chillwave and electro-pop to a whole new level in hit single, Annie, which sees frontman Alan Palomo dish out a charming vocal rinse.

Kitsuné act, Les Gordon, gets a glowing remix from nu disco artist, Roisto. Download it here.

This list would not be complete without a feature from Swedish talent, Tobtok. Revisit his funkified Seize The Night remix below and purchase a copy here.

Blende just recently tok on OWSLA producer, Phonat, and stellar single, Fire. The results? Nothing less than perfect. Check it out here:

Wingtip is a newcomer to our blogosphere, but you can definitely expect to hear his work again soon. His upbeat remix of Huntar’s SK1N is just one reason why.

We had to include some synthwave in this year’s Springtime Selection, with a nifty set of retro-futuristic sounds in College’s single, Teenage Color. Check it out below:

Passion Pit is one of the most feel-good, musical acts out there, so we just had to include work from the American band. Tune into Constant Conversations (Alternate Version) below and grab a copy of the single here.

Sam Padrul brings us back to the future with a 80s-esque remix of Televisor’s Remember Me By. Stream it below and download a copy here.

Cleopold, Cleopold, Cleopold. Your track, Scarlet, is majestic, to say the least.

Kasket Club is a relatively new find for us. The minute we first heard their track, Dream, we were completely hooked. Check out another one of their singles, Soul Surfing, below:

Australian indie-electronic band, Miami Horror, dazzles us with video game synths and electric pianos in their rendition of Childish Gambino’s Sober. What a beauty!

Lots of love for PREP and slow jam, Cheapest Flight. Stream it below and download the single here.

Roosevelt is one of those artists working to bring back funk in the new era, and clearly, he succeeded:

At the end of January, Kindergarten Recordings label head, Wolfgang Gartner, released his second studio album, 10 Ways To Steal Home Plate. Our favorite track from the LP? Gartner’s funky single, Speed of Sound.

Last time Patawawa appeared on The French Shuffle, the trio had just received a funky revamp from fellow musician, LBCK. Now, listen in as the nu disco group wows us Sante Fe (Patawawa Remix):

Montreal native, Fonkynson, turned in a seductive remix of Le Couleur’s Club Italien. Check it out here:

Mogul is known for his chic sounds and rich noises, and his remix of Paperwhite’s Unstoppable undoubtedly fits into those segments. This one is for you, late night party people:

And last, but certainly not least, Bee’s Knees’s lively single, Oh Sheila:
