5 Daft Punk Remixes You Need To Hear

Electronic music’s greatest duo are no stranger to the odd remix now and then, which comes as a surprise, as most people remember Daft Punk for their own work. So, what exactly have Daft Punk remixed since their first appearance in 1995? Well, here are five tracks to point you in the right direction!

Daft Punk – Get Lucky (Daft Punk Remix)

We’ll start with a track everyone knows, shall we? Daft Punk sky-rocketed to fame with their album, Random Access Memories, back in 2013, with Get Lucky gaining significant airplay across the world.

Little did we know, Daft Punk actually remixed their own track not long after their album release. However, this would be the only Daft Punk remix of any sort we’d get with their last album.

Ian Pooley – Chord Memory (Daft Punk Remix)

Featured on Daft Punk’s Musique Vol.1 compilation album, their remix of Ian Pooley’s Chord Memory, is one of the duo’s closest sounding remixes to their 1997 album, Homework. The Musique Vol.1 album, would then go on to feature other remixes, like Gabriella’s Forget About The World and Scott Grooves’ Mothership Reconnection.

I:Cube – Disco Cubizm (Daft Punk Mix)

Daft Punk’s mix of I:Cube’s Disco Cubizm, is a prime example of one of their remixes that is actually even more popular than the original track. With the 808 hi-hats and infectious wind instruments in the background of the track, it’s hard not to appreciate this golden wonder.

The Chemical Brothers – Life Is Sweet (Daft Punk Remix)

Ah yes. Life is surely sweet. Being one of Daft Punk’s first recorded remixes, you can expect to hear some of the more “premature” sounds and ideas that they had to offer. Undoubtedly though, both The Chemical Brothers and Daft Punk would grow into their own unique successes.

Daft Punk – Aerodynamite

Last on our list, we have Daft Punk’s ever so trendy rendition of Aerodynamic. Being a lot more upbeat than the original track, this one is guaranteed to keep the crowd going… for a lengthy eight minutes that is!
