Montreal group, Le Matos, is no stranger to The French Shuffle, with singles, Kiyoko and No Tomorrow, featuring in previous months. The group’s sound not only blends elements of outrun and synthwave, but it also introduces a flurry of electro clash noises.
Today, we revisit Retired, a high-powered release from the Canadian act, which debuted in early 2008. Distinguished by its post-apocalyptic spirit and heavy-hitting nerve, the track delivers a nifty set of sinister sounds and energy in quite a unique fashion. Well done, Le Matos. Well done.
