Best Remixes of Phoenix

Without a doubt, French rock band, Phoenix, has made a significant impact on today’s music scene. Composed of Thomas Mars, Christian Mazzalai, Laurent Brancowitz, and Deck d’Arcy, the alternative, indie pop group have issued a number of blockbuster releases with highly acclaimed labels, including Glassnote, Loyauté, and Astralwerks.

While their music is certainly remarkable, the band also shares an extraordinary history with our favorite robotic duo, Daft Punk, as each of the groups collaborated underneath the moniker, Darlin’, once upon a time. So, what does Phoenix have planned for the new year? We’re not quite sure, so for the moment, let’s take a look at some remixes of their work.

List of Best Remixes of Phoenix:

  1. Phoenix – 1901 (Robotaki Remix)
  2. Phoenix – Bourgeois (Uppermost Remix)
  3. Phoenix – Trying To Be Cool (Anoraak Remix)
  4. Phoenix – Bankrupt! (Gesaffelstein Remix)
  5. Phoenix – Armistice (RAC Mix)
  6. Phoenix – Fences (LeMarquis Remix)

1901 (Robotaki Remix)

Let’s get this started with a little funk, shall we? Canadian producer, Robotaki, laid some upbeat discopop vibes over Phoenix’s hit, 1901, in excellent fashion.

Bourgeois (Uppermost Remix)

This list definitely wouldn’t be complete unless Uppermost made an appearance. His take on Bourgeois is something special.

Trying To Be Cool (Anoraak Remix)

Remember when Phoneix hosted a remix competition for chart-topping track, Trying To Be Cool? Well, discopop artist, Anoraak, took a stab at it and the results were quite amazing.

Bankrupt! (Gesaffelstein Remix)

Roughly a year ago, Mike Lévy aka Gesaffelstein took an experimental approach when remixing Phoenix’s Bankrupt!. Definitely one of our favorites.

Armistice (RAC Mix)

How about some indie pop? Look no further – RAC has you covered with a smashing remix of Armistice.

Fences (LeMarquis Remix)

And last, but not least, we have Discothrill producer, LeMarquis, rounding out the pack with a light, nu disco rework of Phoenix’s Fences.
