Jace Mek – Flip The Funk

I remember the exact moment when Dim Mak Records first hit my ears. The Bloody Beetroots had just released Warp 1.9 on the indie electronic recording label, and I had to find out who the lead vocalist was on the smashing track. It turns out that Dim Mak head, Steve Aoki, was behind all the madness, and since then, it has all been history.

Fast forward a few years, and I’m just returning to the California-based label with new sounds from Los Angeles native, Jace Mek. Released at the end of November on Dim Mak, Flip The Funk is the latest song from the young talent, seeing him fuse a heavy hitting low-end with a fury of tribal sounds & jarring microbits.
