Carte Blanche – White Man On The Moon EP

The White Man On The Moon EP by producers, Riton and DJ Mehdi, is mindblowing, and what could of been of Carte Blanche in the future, without the sad departure of Mehdi. Four strong tracks make up this Ed Banger EP, with Jack On The Moon and With You being the main highlights.

Lettre à France comes crashing in, sampling Michel Polnareff’s track with the same name. It really reminds me of the beginning of Justice’s Genesis. Jack On The Moon is however, much more upbeat than the first track. Mehdi used this track a lot in his live sets with his set at the Mad Decent Block Party in 2011 being the most notable to use it.

Bronx Brooklyn Queens, gets you bouncing like an underground rave. Even so, you can feel the Acid House vibes when listening to it. Lastly we have With You, featuring Hot Chip’s lead singer, Alexis Taylor. His vocals provide a soft and tropical sensation, much like the track in hand. It’s definitely one of the most strongest tracks on the EP.
