Who knew that a collaboration between electronic artist, Boys Noize, and the somewhat eccentric Mr. Oizo would be so good? Here we have Handbraekes #2, which is the second adaptation of the Handbraekes saga – are you ready for what lies inside?
Bravo sets the scene. It coincidentally resembles Oizo’s own tune, Secam, but with a much more snazzy and fresher appeal than his other track. Moving on, we have Paroat, which has the musical character of a blender, but in a good way! Being somewhat unlistenable, you could probably compare it to Oizo’s earlier works on the F Communications label. If you haven’t heard them before, you should definitely check them out now! Chyna holds a very unique spot in Handbraekes #2, remaining fast-paced, yet super danceable. And lastly, we have Grind Go! Full of Moroccan drums and peculiar instruments, it truly reminds us of the great DJ Mehdi and his Lucky Boy album.
