The New Age Of French Touch

It was 2007 – Justice had just released their debut album, Cross, DJ Mehdi launched the massive single, Signatune, DANGER’s 11h30 was destroying dancefloors everywhere, and french touch ruled the music world. Ed Banger, Ekler’o’shock, So French, and Crydamoure labels deserve all the credit for taking the genre to the next level, but what has become of it today?

Well, Parisian duo, Justice took more of an indie rock direction, launching Audio Video Disco in 2011. Uffie’s 2nd album never quite came out. And, it seems that SebastiAn took a bit of a hiatus as well. So, what happened to french touch and where does it stand now? I’m not sure if I can answer the first question, but we’re certain that the movement is making a grand return! Don’t believe me?
