We’ve got a treat for you today, courtesy of newcomer, Tonebox! The electronic musician is hitting the blogosphere with a stellar EP, titled Abiogenisis. Out now via Inner Works Records, the five-track release pairs elements of synthwave and outrun up with heavy retro atmospheres. If you dig Pyramid, this will definitely be your cup of tea.

Each track gives you a fairly unique thrill, introducing deep, dark flavor. We can’t get enough of it! The Chase is our favorite out of the five, as it harnesses both edgy and astral sounds – but, as a whole, the release is certainly worth appreciating. Let it be the soundtrack to your next adventure!

Side note – normally, we ask you to show some support for the artist, being that each one puts in a ton of work with each release! This case is just a bit different though. Shortly after releasing this EP, Tonebox’s computer experienced hardware failure. If you don’t know what that’s like, it’s possibly the worst thing that can happen, especially around the holidays. So, whether you dig the EP, or not, send some massive support his way and shoot over a donation (if it’s within your means). I know he’d appreciate getting his music rig going again.
