Crydamoure Waves

Daft Punk

Crydamoure Waves is an album released in 2000 which consists of all the singles released on the Crydamoure label from 1997 through to 2000, Guy-Man and Eric Chedeville (Le Knight Club) are responsible for mixing this masterpiece of an album and among them star Raw-Man, DJ Sneak and Guy-Man’s brother Paul.

The album starts with the soothing sounds of waves hitting the beach until The Buffalo Bunches’ ‘Music Box’ comes into play setting the mood and tone for the rest of the album, other highlights on the compilation album include Le Knight Club’s ‘Hysteria’ which sounds have been put through a bit-crusher to give an authentic Nu-Disco feel, also among these great tracks is a mix of Archigram’s ‘In Flight’ which would then appear 3 years later on the second Waves album in 2003.

The last track on the album ‘Holiday on Ice’ by ‘Le Knight Club’ bares a slight resemblance to Daft Punk’s ‘Around the World’ which makes sense as Guy-Man did in fact mix the whole album and produce this track, after this the song fades to the waves we first heard in the beginning of the album.
